Cary NC Chimney Inspections
Our chimney inspections in Cary are broken down into two levels of inspection. Since all chimney and situations are unique, this allows us to provide you with the best possible service for your needs and issues, and allows us to work hands on with you to resolve any issues in a time effective and compactivity priced fashion.
Level I
Our level I inspection will include a visual check of the fireplace and chimney. The professional inspector will look for any damages, obstructions, soot and creosote buildup using advanced video capturing technology. You may be prescribed chimney sweeping services which we can provide at that time if you chose to. Our inspection can find cracks in the flue pipe, damaged caused by a chimney fire, obstructions in the flue, missing mortar or gaps in flue sections, and hidden gaps in the chimney.
If you regularly use your fireplace you need a level I inspection at least once a year to check for deposits, clearances, and soundness.
Level II
A level II inspection is designed to check your chimney after any changes have occurred to your system. This is a more in-depth inspection and should be used if you are buying or selling a home or if any serious weather event has occurred like a tornado or hurricane. This inspection builds off the first inspection and adds inspections of the attic, basements, and crawl spaces. It checks for combustibles in these locations.
